ABOUT THE PLAY
“Looking for a Husband”
This is a cabaret-style monodrama. Author of the texts: Duško Radović Directed and performed by: Jelica Brestovac Choreography: Natalija Bozić Duration: 70 minutes
“Looking for a Husband” is a witty, dynamic, and charming cabaret-style monodrama inspired by the timeless works of Duško Radović. The play explores the eternal theme of male-female relationships through the lens of several striking female characters—each with her own tactics, weaknesses, hopes, and humor.
Through acting, monologues, dance, and music, the audience experiences an emotional and comedic rollercoaster: from the moments when women strive to win “the right one,” to their attempts to keep him by their side. All of this is presented with plenty of humor, honesty, and self-irony.
The audience actively participates during the performance, which adds to the energy and immediacy of the show. Every woman will recognize herself in one of the characters, and every man will wish to be “the one.”
The message is clear and universal: “Men—no matter what they are like—women will always love them.” Because in this game, no one comes out a loser.
The play has been performed with great success in Serbia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Belgium…
