On May 12, Andrijevica marked Europe Day through a story of unity, values, and young people who live them every day.
The celebration was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of European Affairs, the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro through the EU4ME project, the Municipality of Andrijevica, the Public Institution Center for Culture and Sports “Mihailo Lalić,” and the elementary schools “Bajo Jojić” and “Milić Keljanović.”
The central event was held at the Center for Culture and Sports, where a rich program entitled “Europe in My Backyard” was performed. Through play, music, and stage expression, a strong message was sent that European values begin with the individual – at school, among friends, and in the local community.
A special impression was left by the humorous and educational play performed by the pupils of the elementary schools “Bajo Jojić” and “Milić Keljanović,” who spoke in a close and sincere way about freedom, equality, respect, and dialogue. The symbolic character of Europe reminded those present that differences do not divide but enrich society.
The ceremony was completed with rhythmic and musical performances, the rendition of a traditional Montenegrin song, as well as a scene from “The Mountain Wreath.” The performances of the pupils from both schools beautifully closed this manifestation, celebrating cultural heritage and a shared European future.
