Organized by the Public Institution Cultural and Sports Centre “Mihailo Lalić” Andrijevica, a literary evening dedicated to the rich body of work of the distinguished writer Vlajko Ćulafić was held tonight.
The event took place in a dignified, inspiring, and celebratory atmosphere, with the venue filled with literature enthusiasts, admirers of the written word, and readers who deeply appreciate Ćulafić’s work. Throughout the evening, speakers paid tribute to his literary achievements, spiritual legacy, and lasting contribution to Serbian literature and culture, highlighting the power of his writing and its enduring importance to both local and national cultural heritage.
Dr. Radoje Femić and Novica Đurić, President of the Association of Writers of Montenegro, spoke about Vlajko Ćulafić’s life and work. Their presentations emphasized the significance of his literary accomplishments, his distinctive artistic voice, and the respected place he holds in contemporary literature.
The program was hosted and curated by journalist and writer Darko Jovović, who skillfully guided the audience through the evening, while Dragan Alorić added a deeply emotional dimension by reciting selected poems, bringing the strength and beauty of Ćulafić’s poetry to life.
The audience was also addressed by Damjan Ćulafić, Minister in the Government of Montenegro and the writer’s son, who expressed his heartfelt gratitude for preserving the memory of his father’s life and literary legacy. His moving recitation of one of Vlajko Ćulafić’s poems gave the evening a deeply personal and family-centered touch.
The musical atmosphere was enriched by pianist Sergej Arsenijević, whose performances added elegance and warmth to the program, further enhancing the evening’s solemn character.
The audience’s sustained applause and attentive participation throughout the event reflected the deep respect and admiration for Vlajko Ćulafić and the enduring value of his literary legacy.
