The Association of Writers of Montenegro has awarded the 2026 Vidovdan Charter to the “Mihailo Lalić” Center for Culture and Sports in Andrijevica. This prestigious recognition was presented to the institution’s director, Ivan Radojević, during the program of the Vidovdan Poetry Vigil “Kosovo Forever and Always”, held at the courtyard of the Monastery of Saint Simeon the Myrrh-Streaming in Nemanjingrad, Podgorica.
Accepting the award, Radojević expressed his great satisfaction that the recognition had come from the Association of Writers of Montenegro, with whose members the Center for Culture and Sports has maintained a fruitful and successful partnership for many years.
He emphasized that he is especially pleased that the work of the Andrijevica-based institution has been recognized beyond the Vasojevići region, highlighting the dedication of its staff to promoting Montenegro’s cultural and spiritual heritage. He also underlined the valuable contribution of the many distinguished writers who regularly participate in the events organized by the Center.
“This award will serve as an additional incentive for us to persevere in the fields of art and culture and to keep the doors of our institution wide open to both renowned and emerging creators who enrich our spiritual heritage. I am confident that the warmth of this recognition will remain with the Center for Culture in Andrijevica and stand as a testament to the respect we have earned from those who truly understand how essential culture is to our people,” Radojević said.
