A ceremonial program marking the International Day of Families was successfully held at the Public Institution Centre for Culture and Sports “Mihailo Lalić” in Andrijevica, bringing together numerous citizens of all generations in celebration of family values, unity, and young talents.
The event was organized by the Public Institution Centre for Social Work for the municipalities of Berane, Andrijevica, and Petnjica, under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Family Care and Demography, while the Public Institution Centre for Culture and Sports “Mihailo Lalić” provided full support in the realization of the program.
As part of the ceremony, awards were presented to the most successful students who participated in the literary, art, and video competition “My Family,” recognizing their creativity and dedication to family values.
Particular attention from the audience was drawn by the performance of the Cultural and Artistic Society “Komovi” from Andrijevica, which brought the spirit of traditional heritage through folk dance and song. The program was further enriched by the choir and rhythmic group of the Elementary School “Bajo Jojić,” bringing joy, energy, and children’s smiles to the festive atmosphere.
Inspirational poetry was recited by poet Tamara Novović, while the winners of the municipal recitation competition — Irina Dedović, Todor Vukićević, and Milanka Babović — showcased their talent and the beauty of the spoken word.
This event once again confirmed the importance of family as the foundation of a healthy society, as well as the significance of investing in young people who represent their community in the most beautiful way through their talent, knowledge, and creativity.
