An exceptional cultural evening dedicated to the rich and inspiring artistic legacy of Milo Stojković was held tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the Small Hall of the Public Institution “Mihailo Lalić” Centre for Culture and Sports. The event brought together numerous art enthusiasts, offering them an opportunity to once again draw inspiration from the work of an artist who left an indelible mark on our cultural heritage.
The evening was officially opened with an inspiring welcome address by Ivan Radojević, Director of the Public Institution “Mihailo Lalić” Centre for Culture and Sports. He expressed the institution’s great pride and honour in preserving and safeguarding the valuable legacy of Milo Stojković. Radojević emphasized that this legacy represents not only a collection of valuable works but also a lasting spiritual cornerstone and an invaluable cultural treasure that will continue to inspire and educate future generations.
The artistic significance and aesthetic qualities of Stojković’s work were presented by Vukašin Milović, Full Professor at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade. Through a thoughtful and insightful professional analysis, enriched with carefully chosen words of appreciation, Professor Milović highlighted the artist’s distinctive style and powerful creative vision. He noted that the quality and authenticity of Stojković’s work transcend local boundaries, placing him among distinguished artists whose achievements deserve continued scholarly attention and critical recognition.
A particularly refined and ceremonial atmosphere was created by pianist Sergej Arsenijević. His virtuosic performance on the Clavinova blended beautifully with the emotion and expressive power of Stojković’s artworks, creating a unique harmony between music and visual art that captivated everyone in attendance.
With this event, the “Mihailo Lalić” Centre for Culture and Sports once again reaffirmed its mission of preserving and promoting genuine artistic values, leaving the audience eagerly anticipating future projects dedicated to celebrating our greatest creators.
